A faceless fish found in Australia a century since its discovery. The deep-sea creature not seen for more than a century has been rediscovered by a team of international scientists while they researched the depths of a massive abyss off Australia's east coast. The faceless fish is 40 centimetres long and lives about 4 kilometres below sea level.
The mission called "Sampling the Abyss", sponsored by Museums Victoria, also found species believed to be new to science.
As indicated by Robin Wilson the Senior curator at museum Victoria, "Fish and different creatures from those profundities look altogether different. That is on account of the goalposts are distinctive for them down there and they needn't bother with the things that we require like vision and need to smell.
